The RTC Korea organizers asked me to present remotely on AI in RTC. In this talk I gave an overview of our findings from the AI in RTC report. I talked about:
- speech analytics - with some examples about transcription accuracy vs. actionable analytics
- voicebots - there are many use
Despite what claims of human-level accuracy, speech transcription is often in accurate. It is getting better, and there are some tricks to improving it, but for many applications the exact Word Error Rate of the transcription engine is secondary to providing higher-level analysis.
